Adventure Curriculum for PE

We created this workshop with physical educators in mind. This workshop will help you teach to standards, supply lesson plans and a sequenced curriculum, and will focus on the issues facing Physical Educators today. Adventure is a great supplement to any PE program.

Participants will:

  • Experience a variety of activities from the Adventure Curriculum for Physical Education(ACPE) – Elementary, Middle and High School.

  • Learn to connect adventure activities to specific learning outcomes, state and national standards, using the ACPE text as a guide.

  • Learn age-appropriate assessment tools for use in class.

  • Explore core themes of the curriculum by grade level.

  • Discuss how to integrate PA’s ACPE curriculum to their specific programs.

  • Experience a fun, positive and professional environment and learn how to re-create that at school.

  • March 10-11, 2025 (Beverly, MA)

  • July 21-22, 2025 (Budd Lake, NJ)

  • August 12-13, 2025 (Beverly, MA)

Workshop Information:

  • Cost = $410 which includes registration, workshop manual and lunch each day

  • Workshop Hours: 8:30AM-5:00PM

  • Number of days: 2

  • Site Logistics for our Beverly site with recommended lodging options can be found HERE.

  • Graduate credits: Participants can earn 2 credits for taking the workshop and completing a Reflection Paper. Additional 2 credits can be earned by also completing a Guided Project. More graduate credit information can be found HERE. Additional per credit fee applies.

  • Participants who are licensed teachers in MA can earn 16 PDPs after completing this workshop and submitting a Reflection Paper for additional fee. Email registration@pa.org for more information.

  • Please register more than two weeks in advance to ensure the workshop will have enough participants to run as scheduled.

  • Workshop registration cancellation policies: Cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to a workshop start date will result in 50% refund of tuition cost. No shows without cancellation notice will forfeit all tuition cost paid.

  • Purchase Orders: If your school or organization will be using a Purchase Order, please email registration@pa.org to register. A copy of the Purchase Order will need to be submitted to that same email address to finalize the registration.
